Fire Parameters in the US (TracPlus Cloud)

TracPlus Cloud includes a Fire Parameters feature that allows users in the United States to view fire-related boundaries and labels directly on the map. This tool helps improve situational awareness during wildfire events.

Accessing Fire Parameters

  1. Navigate to the Map page in TracPlus Cloud.

  2. In the bottom-left corner of the page, click on the Map Settings (layers icon).

  3. Under the TracPlus Labs section, you will see the option for Fire Parameters.

Fire Parameters Options

The Fire Parameters setting includes two toggles:

  • Show current US Fire Parameters

    • Displays the current fire perimeter data on the map.

  • Show Fire Parameter Labels

    • Adds labels to the fire perimeters, providing clearer identification and context.

Why Use Fire Parameters?

  • Improve awareness of active fire boundaries in the US.

  • Support operational decision-making during wildfire events.

  • Quickly visualise fire locations and associated labels on the same map used for asset tracking.

⚠️ Note: Fire Parameters are currently available only under TracPlus Labs and apply to fire data in the United States.

Disclaimer: Perimeters are sourced from publicly available information, and some active fires may not be mapped.
