RockAIR Device Reset Guide
Use this guide to perform a soft reset on a RockAIR (including RockAIR LTE). A soft reset is the safest first step when the device is unresponsive or behaving unexpectedly.
Before you reset (quick checks)
- Confirm the device model: RockAIR or RockAIR LTE.
- Make sure the device has a stable power source (aircraft/vehicle power, USB, or external power) and the battery is not critically low.
- If possible, note the TP Serial / Device ID / IMEI (helps Support/Tier 2 identify the unit).
RockAIR / RockAIR LTE — Soft reset (recommended)
- Ensure the device is powered on.
- Press and hold the Power Green button for 10-12 seconds.
- Continue holding the button until:
- All LED indicators flash, or
- All six LEDs flash simultaneously.
- Release the button and the device should automatically restart.
- Confirm the Green button LED is solid once it has restarted.
Note: If the symptoms look firmware-related, try a firmware update via TP Connect (if available for the device).
After Resetting
After the device restarts:
- Verify the Power LED is illuminated.
- Confirm tracking has resumed.
- Check device operation in TP Connect.
- If issues persist:
- Update the device firmware to the latest version.
- Verify power and antenna connections.
- Contact TracPlus Support for further assistance.
When Should I Perform a Reset?
Perform a reset if:
- The device has stopped tracking.
- The Bluetooth connection is not responding.
- The unit displays unusual LED behavior.
- Firmware updates fail or become stuck.
- The device is only transmitting startup or shutdown reports.
- TracPlus Support requests a reset as part of troubleshooting.
