The Map Tools in TracPlus Cloud give you quick access to useful functions that help you customise and interact with your map view.
Accessing Map Tools

Navigate to the Map page in TracPlus Cloud.

Look to the bottom-left corner of the map.

Click the spanner (wrench) icon to open the Map Tools menu.
Available Tools
From the Map Tools menu, you can:

Reset the Map – Return the map to its default view.

Add Path Annotations – Draw paths or routes on the map for visual reference.

Add Point Annotations – Place points of interest or markers on specific locations.

Create a Marker – Add a permanent marker to highlight a key location.

Use the Measurement Tool – Measure distances directly on the map between two or more points.

Set Home View – Save your preferred default map view for quick access and the default view when you log in.
Note:
When you open the interface and haven’t selected an asset, some tools will be unavailable. The Follow Asset, Distance Rings, and Velocity Leaders icons are among these. They remain greyed out until you choose an asset.
What Each Icon Does

Follow Asset
Locks the view on the selected asset. As the asset moves, the map will track it automatically without you having to manually pan. -
Distance Rings
Shows concentric circles around the selected asset. Helps you see how far away other assets or points are in relation to that asset. -
Velocity Leaders
This toggle provides short-term movement estimates to help you anticipate where your assets will be in the near future. Position estimates are available from 1 minute ahead up to 5 minutes ahead.
Right-Click Menu
You can also right-click anywhere on the map to access quick tools without opening the Map Tools menu. From the right-click menu, you can:

See or copy the coordinates of the selected location.

Drop a marker.

Drop a point annotation.

Start measuring directly from that point.
