Bridget joins the TracPlus Board of Directors to add further global business and technology experience to the New Zealand-born company.
Bridget is a seasoned business leader with over 10 years of experience in the venture capital, private equity and angel investment sectors in London and New Zealand.
Bridget said she was thrilled to join TracPlus.
“I have been involved in the early stage start-up space for approximately 9 years in New Zealand, working for NZVIF, investing in high growth companies. In my time there, we invested in a significant number of businesses across a wide range of sectors. One of the companies that NZVIF invested in was TracPlus, and it is a company I have followed very closely ever since,” says Unsworth.
“I have been very impressed with Trevor’s approach since he joined TracPlus. The company is in the best position it has been since NZVIF first invested and I cannot wait to see what TracPlus will do in the future,” Unsworth continued.
Bridget was an Investment Director for NZVIF’s Seed Co-Investment Fund. Between 2003-2006, Bridget worked at Infinity Solutions within the business consulting team focusing on knowledge management and business development. Between 2007-2009, she worked as an investment analyst for London based placement agents MVision Private Equity Advisors, on the investment fundraising team for many private equity funds across the UK, Europe and South Africa. Bridget returned to New Zealand in 2009 and joined NZVIF in 2010.
“Having Bridget join our team is extremely validating. Bridget has been heavily involved in reviewing and assessing companies in her role at NZVIF, so for her to choose to be involved with our company shows we’re moving in the right direction,” says TracPlus CEO Trevor McIntyre.
“Bridget’s unique international business experience and diverse skill set will help us secure our position as the global leader in fleet tracking software,” McIntyre continued.
Bridget Unsworth will support TracPlus as Director through her experience and connections within the investment community.
